Mental Health and Well-Being
As Kappas, we're always looking for opportunities to dream boldly and live fully as we give back and inspire positive change.
In the pursuit of that mission, mental health and well-being is our international philanthropic focus. Join us as we commit to becoming powerful advocates in the mental health and well-being space and aim to live fully in the service of others.
Kappa partners with the following organizations to carry out this impactful work:
National Alliance on Mental Illness
Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation
The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation helps Kappas pursue life’s opportunities by funding impactful programs, including financial assistance grants, member education, preserving our history and heritage, and scholarships. Learn how the Kappa Foundation helps Kappas thrive.
Kappa also partners with Talkspace, an online platform that makes it convenient to access mental health resources and paves the way for accessible mental health care. Alumnae receive a discount on this service thanks to a grant through the Kappa Foundation.
Nashville Philanthropy
Giving back is an important part of who we are as Kappa Kappa Gamma alumnae. Our association supports the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation through financial gifts that help provide scholarships, confidential assistance, education and leadership training, and support for the Kappa Museum. Each holiday season, we participate in the Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Program, sponsoring a Kappa alumna who may need a little extra support to make her holidays brighter.Kappa Kappa Gamma is also committed to a new philanthropic purpose focused on mental health and well-being. Together, we are working to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support mental health through education, fundraising, and service. Our Nashville Alumnae Association has made mental health a special focus of our philanthropy. In 2021, we hosted our first Songwriters Night Under the Stars, raising funds for the CMA Mental Health Fund. We are excited to host our sixth annual Songwriters Night this year to raise funds and awreness for mental health and well-being! We have also chosen NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) as our national philanthropic partner. Since 2022, our members have supported NAMIWalks as sponsors, volunteers, and fundraisers—coming together to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.Kappa gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect, serve, and make a difference—together.
