2021 Songwriters Night Fundraiser
It was a magical night of music, fellowship and philanthropy at our first-ever
“Songwriters Night Under the Stars”!
It was a gorgeous evening under the twinkling lights and stars in Trish's beautiful backyard. Much appreciation to Lisa and Trish for co-chairing this event and to all who donated, attended and volunteered to make this event such a huge success!
The evening showcased the talents of Dickey Lee, Brenda Russell, Steve Brooks, and Emma White. These four musicians performed their original songs and told us what inspired them. The artists blew us away, and we even went a little over the scheduled time because everyone was enjoying the experience so much - especially the musicians!
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, an anonymous donor who matched $300 raised at the event, our attendees and other donations, we exceeded our goal and raised $3072!
All monies raised will benefit the Music Health Alliance Mental Health Fund.
Tatum Allsep, Founder and CEO of Music Health Alliance, had this to say:
“With touring on hold in 2020 and into 2021 due to the pandemic, many in the music industry have found themselves separated from their road families and alone. That isolation and loss of identity and employment has lead to an increased need for mental health services with MHA seeing a 300% increase in requests over 2019. One hundred percent of the funds raised will enable our music community to gain access to mental health resources like counselors and psychiatrists that would otherwise not be available. Your support tonight will sincerely help keep the beloved “music” alive and well in our Music City."
